I’ve known Rylie since our freshman year of college and it’s hard to think about her without also immediately thinking about Dillon –they are the type of couple who just make sense. They are also both so creative, thoughtful, intentional with friendships, and crazy fashionable.
I was lucky enough to be Rylie’s roommate senior year (a dream roomie, tbh), got to take her senior portraits, and was over the moon when she reached out about my availability for their summer wedding. They’ll be getting married at Ko’olau ranch Ranch on Oahu! She was one of the few people I really connected with in college who is also from Hawaii, so it only feels right that she’s getting to marry her dream guy looking out at the ocean. I also get to sneak in a little trip home to visit my family 🙂
It was a pretty overcast day for their engagement photos, which is ironic because we all three went to school in the very overcast city of Eugene, but I just loved it. Clouds can create such a softness in photos and it was a fun change from the typical bright, sunny hawaii day. Plus, everyone was way less sweaty!
hope you love this little peek into their engagement photos!
[…] Rylie + Dillon’s wedding day was all around perfect. The weather held up for us, their malasada and shave ice bar were a fun treat, and their Kualoa Ranch venue had the perfect mix of jungle and mountain views. They chose to get married at Mōli’i Gardens at Kualoa Ranch because it had everything they were looking for in a venue. I was also lucky enough to take their engagement photos a few months earlier, you can check those out here! […]
