There are few things that light me up more than wedding attire against a dramatic landscape or snapping a quick photo of your grandma leaning in for a hug. I grew up with a camera practically always in hand, loving to document happy moments or to run outside and get creative with my middle school best friend. That love has grown from a hobby to a job, and the love grows with it. After over a hundred weddings, and especially after being a bride myself, I take so much joy in being able to help couples relive some of their happiest moments surrounded by all their loved ones. It’s not every day you get to be surrounded by all of your family and friends!
There is so much heart behind every photo I take. I strive to be a calming presence, the person who snaps the small details and sweet interactions without you even noticing, and your biggest advocate every step of the way. The mix of human connection and natural elements are my biggest photography inspirations since I feel most at home in nature. I call Hawaii home, but currently live in Portland so love all the PNW things! When I’m not taking photos I love snowboarding, hiking, surfing, drinking waaaay too much light roast coffee.
"There are few things that inspire and excite me more than photography!"
Everyone is worthy of beautiful images. I have always cringed when I’ve heard the term “ideal client” because for me, anyone who trusts me enough to hire me as their photographer is my ideal client. Your wedding plans are uniquely your own and just know right now, I love them all.
“Every wedding, every shoot, I see the world through a whole new lens. Your story will be different from the last, and this ignites my passion all over again.”
I am constantly so inspired by human connection and how beautiful this planet is. I’m always fully in awe of creation, both when I’m working and when I’m not. The ocean is without a doubt where I go to feel most at peace and the most inspired.
Here to make you feel loved.
I’m an enneagram 2 so you can just go ahead and call me “that girl who gets along really well with our crazy aunt”. I’m a lover of love (ooof, also a really cheesy person) and hold my people tight. I really value making people feel comfortable, heard, and beautiful so I feel like this job is a really special one since I get to serve and love on others so frequently.

I’m a dog mom and a wife who calls Portland, Oregon home (for now). My husband is a wedding videographer so we spend our fair share of time being creative together and showing each other the backs of our cameras.
When we aren’t working you’ll find us at some cute restaurant (foodies 4eva) or running around with our dog, Winston, on one of our favorite hikes. I fly home to Hawaii any chance I can get because there’s nothing quite like the teal waters or white sandy beaches. I get my adventurous soul from my Dad so we spend plenty of time hiking, biking, scuba diving, and surfing together!
Alex has excellent communication and we are just so thankful we were able to work with her for this season in life! Weddings go by quickly but the images last a lifetime and we are so grateful for timeless photos that really captured all the love we felt on our special day.
My fiancé and I were a little unsure of a professional photo shoot and I knew he wasn’t as excited as I was, but we showed up ready to try it out. Alex gave us perfect directions, made us feel completely comfortable, and treated us like friends which made us loosen up so quickly and I could tell my fiancé was actually happy to be doing it. That’s huge!
Alex is gentle, fun, communicative, patient, professional, compassionate, and adaptable - she worked with our budget, came up with amazing ideas, but was also always ready to adjust according to what we were most wanting for our day.
Just about anyone can use a camera, snap a few pictures, use some filters, edit, and call it good. What Alex does goes far beyond what you’d expect. She brings pictures to life by capturing the best moments when you’d least expect them. Then how she works her craft with editing photos really does give you goosebumps and make you say “WOW” in disbelief that the person in the picture is you.
